Dr Sheil works at Maroochydore Medical Centre 7 days per fortnight and Upper Mount Gravatt Medical Centre 3 days per fortnight.
Dr Natasha Laurens General Practitioner
Dr Natasha Laurens completed medical training at the University of Queensland with first class honours and post-graduation has worked in a variety of hospitals including Mackay, Proserpine, Ipswich and Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Natasha has spent 2 years as the Medical Superintendent of Esk Hospital, and the past 3 years as a GP in the local area. Dr Natasha has completed a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine facilitating her provision of regular skin checks and excisions. She also has special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, dermatology, emergency presentations, and chronic disease management.
Dr Welson Jao General Practitioner
Dr Welson Jao graduated from Otago University in New Zealand, and has worked in different sub-specialties in Princess Alexandra and Logan hospitals as a medical registrar. He completed Diploma of Child Health program through the University of Sydney as well as GP training (FRACGP) in Brisbane. Dr Welson’s main areas of interest are chronic pain, musculoskeletal ailments and chronic disease management. He is described by many patients as caring and thorough in his care, and enjoys working in general practice to improve the well-being of others both their physical and mental health. Dr Welson understands the limits of western medicine for the chronic pain sufferer, and is training to utilise medical acupuncture to reduce pain and improve patient’s function.
Dr Alan Jones Skin Cancer Physician
MBBS FRACGP Certificate in Dermoscopy and Surgical Management
Dr Alan Jones has been actively involved in the surgical management and detection of skin cancer for 20 years, continually advancing his surgical skills. He has extensive experience in skin cancer medicine in rural and remote communities. In recent years he has based himself at Molescan Chermside and Molescan Upper Mount Gravatt managing local patients, as well as referrals from GPs for surgical management of their patients.
Whilst he is away from work, his passion lies in sport. As founder of The Australian Medical Football Team (Docceroos), he is regularly playing soccer for club and country, as well as playing A Grade squash. In recent times he has thrown his hand at surfing, with lots of sun protection of course!
Ammi Ngo Dietitian
Ammi Ngo is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD). Having degrees in Nutrition, Exercise science as well as a Masters in Dietetics she has gained experience with a wide range of nutritional and lifestyle-related issues.
After graduating she has worked in medical nutrition therapy and clinical dietetics. With specialities in chronic diseases such as diabetes, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular disease, weight management, and lifestyle modification.
Ammi is very passionate about designing a health-promoting life and focuses on collaborating with clients to prioritise their personal health goals. She actively works to inspire people through nutrition, movement and mindset; what she believes are the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle.
